Jenna AltsmanJunior Jenna Altsman is already proving herself to be a valuable asset. This is only her second year in FBLA, but she has done so much for our club in the past year. It was Mrs. Markle who got Jenna to join, which is not very surprising. Mrs. Markle is a very persuasive person. Besides, Jenna “heard it was a good way to get into college,” so she couldn’t pass up the opportunity. Since her freshman year, Jenna has taken a few business classes. She has taken Keyboarding and Computer Literacy, like everyone else, but she went further to take Exploratory Business, and Accounting I and II. Her classes have helped her prepare for her position as treasurer this year, and she is doing a great job. She has already done what many have thought to be impossible. She found our previous Treasurer’s errors and balanced the books. She has been working with Stephannie Berkey a lot to keep us balanced and to make sure we’ve got money in the account. Jenna is a very active person at Beaver Falls High School. Besides FBLA, she is a member of Key Club, Spanish Club, Environmental Club, Tiger Productions, and NHS. She is obviously a hard working student, and a good role model. Before she joined FBLA, Jenna did not know that working together and planning were big parts of the business world. Now, of course, she knows much better. She has been working great and helping us plan a lot, such as our Halloween Bash. In the future, Jenna hopes that FBLA will “help me get into college and succeed in my business career.” She has high hopes, and why not? Jenna is a great Treasurer, and I’m sure that she will continue with her experiences as an officer next year. |
