Ashlee HilberryWhen Joshua needs backup, he calls current senior and vice president Ashlee Hilberry. Being that Ashlee has been in FBLA for three years, it is easy to see that she knows what’s going on and how to help. In her sophomore year, Ashlee decided to join after seeing that FBLA has control over the semiformal in her freshman year. This was something that she always wanted to do, so she immediately became an active member and did all she could to be a huge part of the dance. Ashlee has gone quite a ways in her business education. She has taken keyboarding, computer literacy, and exploratory business. She is currently taking Accounting I and II, which is a feat all in itself. It is apparent, though, that Ashlee wants to learn the language of business. She is very competitive, so it is likely that she will do well in the business competitions coming up this year. Ashlee is a very well rounded individual. She is not only a member of FBLA, but she is also a member of Ski Club, Environmental Club, Cultural Diversity Club, SAAD, and Spanish Club. It is easy to see that Ashlee likes to try new things and find new opportunities, and that she is a role-model student. Many younger students look up to her, and she is a great person to look up to. Of all the things that Ashlee has done, she has enjoyed working on the semiformal the most, but has also enjoyed going out into the community and selling our coupon books. Through all of the things she has done, though, she has learned “how to be a leader and [how to] take on responsibilities.” She has also learned “how to work with other people to help [reach]the goal.” With this knew knowledge, Ashlee hopes to “get into a good college of my choice”, such as Robert Morris, “or at least look good on an application.” She thinks that it “will also help [her] take on leadership roles in the future.” Our chapter will miss Ashlee, and we thank her for all her hard work. |
